Where Is Class?
All WesBAM! Classes are taught in the Usdan Fayerweather Dance and Theater Studios. The Studios are on the bottom level of Beckham Hall.
Why don't you offer the same classes every semester?
WesBAM! classes are designed based on what instructors are available that semester and what currently inspires them. So, classes change based on who goes abroad and graduates, who joins the team, and what style current instructors want to teach.
What's the difference between WesBAM! Unlimited and Class Passes?
WesBAM! Unlimited is our membership program that enables you to take any class you want whenever you want for the whole semester. A Class Pass is only valid for a certain amount of classes (either 6 or 11), and only valid for one instructor's class.
What do I need for class?
For all classes, please bring a water bottle and wear comfortable clothing you can move in. For Zumba and Fitness classes wear sneakers. For Yoga classes, if you own a Yoga mat please bring one, but if not, no worries! We have Yoga mats available to borrow, as well as props you may need during class like blocks and blankets.
How do I sign up for a package?
Visit our Membership page on our website, or talk to your teacher in class to access our online sign-up for class packages. You can pay your instructor in cash, if buying a class pass, or via your student account prior to the date student accounts close.
Who We Are
Who are the teachers?
Your classmates! All instructors are professionally certified Wesleyan students who have a passion for health education and sharing total mind-body wellness.
How do I become a teacher?
All WesBAM! instructors are required to be professionally certified in the discipline they wish to teach. If you're starting to look into certifications, look for Yoga Alliance accredited certifications for Yoga, and look into AFAA for fitness certifications. After that, visit our application page at the end of every semester to apply for next semester's position. For further questions, contact us at email@example.com.
Are there classes I can go to for free?
Yes! All Saturday Community Classes (taught from 2-3pm in Fayerweather Dance Studio) are free. We also offer a series of free workshops and programs throughout the semester that will be announced on our Workshops page and Facebook page.
